Away from it all for the first month of return to day job; I spent this, my first weekend off, reading Chapters 1-14 of the major rewrite of my novel, Walking Down Another Street. I've copied and pasted Nicola Morgan's encouraging blog on having the bottle to change everything into my psyche as well as the folder that contains my WIP. It has reinforced what I already knew, that the story does not simply appear, it has to be crafted and some brutal facts must be faced along the way. I hope when I come back to underneath Antarctica and, Past the Tipping Point, I'll be able to do the same. Being an aspiring writer is a hard, hard task but a good one.
